Mummy to be day / baby shower

At 7 months pregnant my lovely mum and little sister surprised me with a mummy to be treat at Owl House Day Spa.  The spa is located in a peaceful woodland spot in the grounds of Langley Priory in Derbyshire.
We arrived to a team of absolutely lovely ladies who immediately made me feel very special even tho I had just reached the stage of feeling like a small (massive) planet!  The spa itself is very relaxed with a number of lounge rooms with comfy chairs, sofas and beanbags for lazing around in-between treatments.

Outside is a charming courtyard area with more seating and a hot tub.  Sadly I wasn’t able to jump into the hot tub due to having a baby on board but my mum and sister took full advantage and had a great time in there whilst I relaxed in the sunshine.

I had the Flight of Fancy spa package (slightly modified due to bump).  It included a lovely facial using Elemis products and a head, shoulder and foot massage.

The therapists were lovely, they explained the treatments and made me feel super comfortable.  I can honestly say that after arriving feeling like a blimp I almost floated back out of that treatment room! It was just what I needed and made me feel human again and my skin felt amazing.

We headed to the cafe area for our lunch which arrived in a picnic basket, such a lovely idea.  It was delicious, plenty of food for a hungry mummy to be! I got away with very little sickness during my pregnancy but suffered alot with aches and pains and even by 6 months I was feeling pretty done in!  A day at the spa gave me some relief and I swear I left feeling a stone lighter.  I would highly recommend a visit for anyone looking for a relaxing day of treats in fabulous surroundings.

Thanks mum and lil sis!
